Committee
Could we please make sure that this game is discussed at the meeting on Sunday as I know a lot of people that have already booked and have been having problems with accommodation in Dortmund.
I know that if Jim stays on as the Travel Convenor he is in a great position to book hotels in Germany with him working over there but obviously we need definite numbers ASAP.
I think as long as accommodation is booked we can worry about how to get there at a later date.
Cheers
Janis (panic merchant)

Aye you're some panic merchant Janis ;D Not that it is any of my business since I haven't paid my membership fee yet but have you guys considered basing yourselves in Dusseldorf which to my mind is a much better city with the glorious Altstadt and has certainly at this moment in time a more plentiful supply of hotel rooms. Just a suggestion BTW Janis I hear that I might be seeing you on Saturday... hope so

JANIS(PANIC MERCHANT) I WASN'T WORRIED, BUT I AM NOW. IVE LOOKED ON THE TAMB AND IT APPEARS THAT HOTELS ARE BEING SNAPPED UP QUICK.. WE'LL NEED TO BRING THIS UP SOON. BY THE WAY, I KNOW WE ARE PLANNING A BUS TO DORTMUND, BUT IVE HEARD OF SOME GUYS I KNOW WHO HAVE GOT FLIGHTS VIA STANSTEAD TO DORTMUND FOR £80.00 RETURN... RUARY...MY GEOGRAPHY IS A BIT SUS...BUT IF DUSSELDORF IS IN STRIKING DISTANCE OF DORTMUND, COULD BE A GOOD IDEA.

Davy Mac In terms of striking distance Dusseldorf would be no more than 30 mins by train from Dortmund. ideal really. Also remember that trains run all night between the two cities... so plenty time to get up for the game and also to get back from the game afterwards

Hi Guys (and Janis I call everyone Guys)
I hope my explanation of the Dortmund trip on Sunday evening calmed down the panic merchants...(.this is where Scouse Paul comes in shouting..Calm down..Calm Down) however if you have any queries just let me know.
I am disappointed that I could not stay on for the rest of Sunday night by all reports it was a great night.

I should have known not to get worried when WESTA had your goodself on board.
As usual you have put together a great deal by putting in a lot of effort.
Cheers
Janis

Thanks Janis,
I believe that Catriona's opening line about "sexual positions" with Mark was a beauty and for once even Mark couldn't respond, let's hope that this type of quality evening sets the tone for the future

Alright Mark - I'll book the restaurant for Dinner if you buy the beer.....please note that I never said that I would buy dinner.
I drove past the Eintracht Frankfurt "social club" in the centre of town earlier today, I'll need to pay it a visit and see if they let me in....mind you I have been kbocked back from many a pub in my time.

TEXTAs of last week lastminute.com still hadn't quite sussed out that theres a game on and were still offering cheap flights to Dortmund from Stansted on 8th and 9th Sept. Also Prodomo hotel in Dortmund (including downstairs nightclub) had rooms available on opodo.co.uk

Hi Slasher
Thanks for the feedback, go onto Opodo and try and book us 25 twin rooms, you might find a problem...I have called (to be honest I had a German call) they have a couple of rooms available but cannot accomodate a group. This is what I am finding all over Dortmund re the flights again individual travel can be catered for (although I think someone has definately screwed up here) groups are a problem.
Before I flew over this week I rec'd detail from Passport Travel on their Dortmund trip, they have no hotels in Dortmund they are all in the surrounding towns, same one 's that I referred to at the AGM.
All help and thouhgts on this one appreciated, the trade fair is really making this slightly awkward
Auf wedersehen
Jim
