Just back from 5 days of wandering in Kiev ;D all I can say about the place is that tomorrow morning I am going round to David Taylor and tourchering him till he aggrees to a Ukraine-Scotland match!!!! ;D
Place is Prague, Tallinn, Riga, Moscow and Copenhagen rolled into one!!!!!
Flights cost me £150 return via the 'Dam (and you can get it for the same price in October
) plus £30 for my visa (£55 for a double entry visa )
My tour-guide was great.....he rents out appartments cheap and runs a small taxi firm with his 6-seater van.
Now here is the good bit..... in October, he will rent out FREE accomadtion and for 50Euro's a day, will taxi people down to Chineua for the U21 game.... take us up to Trispol for the match... then back to Kiev ;D
The guy is sound and my girlfriend recommended him as her work use him all the time and has never let them down.
He will show you all round Kiev....and take you to some great places.
Asked me if I wanted to go shooting....and took me to a Soviet-Gun Club ;D never in my life thought I would shoot a Kolesnikov and a Sniper-rifle (couldn't resist giving it "Full Metal Jacket style")
He also says, he will show any mates I bring in October some REAL Ukrianian woman.... or as he put it, "go fishing".
So if anyone is intrested in going via Kiev, let me know..... just thought I'd let WESTA know before going onto another message board
Also on way back, was booked on same Amsterdam to Glagow flight as the Scotland jail-bait.... errrrrrr U18 womans team...... great chatting with their manager Jim Gallagher
They were on their way back from a 2 game tour of Finland..... lost 2-1 and won 1-0..... nice one girls ;D
