The Wales game , Annfield 1977. Dalglish scores the second. My friend George Miller loses his shoes in the Annfield road end & on the commentary Archie Macpherson roars 'you have never heard noise like this before...!' Arthur Montford is proud to proclaim' Argentina here we come.....!' Yes indeed.

A real bummer
the equalising Belgium goal in 2001 after we were 2 up & they were down to 10 men. I won't sleep tonight!!!

Remember the day well. What a carfuffle inside & outside Annfield that day as literally dozens of Wales fans were in the ground that day! Alan Rough was superb! What an atmosphere! What a team. However Ally should have changed his midfield as neither masson nor Rioch, his captain played much for their respective teams that season. Souness who only played against Holland in the last game really came into his own. What ever happened to him? A great loss for Scottish football!

I remember the day well. How unlucky we were in Belgium that fatefull day & how brave Craig Brown was to field a team incapable of creating a chance nor having a shot at goal! These tactics have oftened worked well for Scotland , and continue to be used in all Hampden friendlies.

We finally beat Belgium in '87 after a few defeat and due to mischeduling a holiday I was in Corfu. We also lost 2 - 0 in '79 to a good Belgium team & I think Joe Jordan got sent off! Alan Brazil scored the winner in the under 21 game the night before. Andy Ritchie the 'ton legend played that night.

I remember it as if were yesterday. Jordan substituted that night, David Provan came on!, derek Johnstone was playing centre forward as well. Jock Stein set the tactical pattern for future managers palying in belgium. No chances no shots and no bloomin clue. Craig Brown was obviously taking notes! Whatever happened to Provan & DJ? Neither had a clue about football, its a wonder neither got a job in the media!!!!!!!

A great fight back and a great game to have been at was the 1953 Wembley with a last minute equaliser from Lawrie Reilly. The England goalscorer Ivor Broadis plays golf with my father and on his last visit to hampden was let in for nothing when they found out who he was! Wish he was refused entry in '54 when he scored a goal in the 4 - 2 defeat!
