I am extremely concerned at the info coming from the radio and the meeja! Surely this can't be happening?

Although not good news we older Scotland fans have been here before. Tommy Docherty took over from Bobby Brown in '71. Things had gone off the rails and we were struggling in the Euro qualifiers with Portugal and Belgium giving us a hard time. We had lost 3 - 1 at Wembley. up steps the Doc and he cheered us up. 1st game and we beat Portugal at Hampden and he got us the first away win in the World Cup qualifiers 4 -1 away to Denmark. Although losing 1 - 0 to the Auld Enemy he got back on the track. Wee Willie Ormond took over & after a shaky start we beat the Czechs at Hampden and went to Germany '74. Happy days................................

Will the italians force us to name our new manager 60 days before we play them? Is that not the rule?

I still have fond memories of Ian Mccoll as Scotland manager in the early 60s. his side won 6 -2 in Spain. Maybe Wattie is not that good. He may have won the Kirin Cup, drew at home with Italy, beat France and Norway away. But, but, he didn't break the Hampden friendly hoodoo! I rest my case.

Ian McColl may have been okay for Scotland in the 60's, but look at him now... bottom of the league at Queen o the South

EASTA presented me with a kilt at their player of the year kilt. I swore then that I would treasure the memory forever and would keep the kilt as a fantastic keepsake. Symbolising my unbreakable link to the Tartan Army. Before I put it on E BAy I'll accept a reasonable offer!

Is naebody bothered that this guy was hunting backroom staff and trying to organise signings at Ibrox well before he was appointed? Then he has the gall to try and pull the wool over the fans eyes by blaming Taylor for not extending his contract!! Trebling his wages and the emotional pull of Ibrox meant that he was always gonnae quit - but a wee bit of honesty widnae go amiss! Wattie has went right down in my estimation!

Indeed, it would seem the members of this particular organiation would rather reminisce over fond times long since past than enter into any serious debate over the matter of walter smith's departure. Perhaps it is an indication that (some of) the media's assertion that the social element of supporting Scotland takes precedent over the football, is not too wide of the mark.
