What if it's no London and its Manchester? ;D Don't fancy Moss-side very much myself Their so hard that they don't carry guns....they insert the bullets manually.

Mainz was good, although Munich was better.
As if to repay the compliment, there were a couple of German groundhoppers at Estadio York Road last night.
Andy Manson on this board? 2-0 to the Maidenhead, Sutton are crap.
Seriously, I subscribe to Tommy Madden's view. It's a backward step, we've moved on from there. If you take hooliganism out of the equation, there is a political point as well. Return to the auld enemy game or even worse Home International championships, reinforces the concept of the UK as a political entity.
We should play them in competitive matches when we have to and occasional friendlies, when it makes sense in the same way we play other nations. Treat them the same way, no worse or no better as we would anyone else. Just another nation.

Personally I would love this fixture re-established.I love Scotland v England games for passion and it would maybe get the atmosphere back to Hampden(ie.The Germany game).

I can't agree there Mif. You're surely not suggesting that we need the English to inspire passion in us. As far as the atmosphere at Hampden is concerned (and it hasn't been half bad at recent matches) the problems are twofold as I see it. The arena itself doesn't lend itself to creating a great atmosphere easily. The SFA have done their best recently to help but without ripping out and reknitting it all I fear we are stuck with Hampden as it is. It is of course also disappointing that we can't even to seem to fill it for major qualifiers e.g. Croatia, Belguim and Germany, but the bottom line is that the fickle fans will only come out when Berti and the boys start getting the formula right on the pitch and we start winning again. Another factor of course is the apathy of the Glasgow public who are so immersed in the old firm that Scotland at times seems no more than a sideshow. And judging by the number of huns in England jerseys and tims in Eirecom tops I see, it's debatable if some of them are even interested at all!!

Dario,
ATAC have already voted on this with the majority of clubs voting against the resurrection of this fixture.
However, as already stated in this thread, the SFA are desperate to play it so play it we will......
Hope the Loony Alba can run a decent pre-match party this time...........
