"In response to numerous emails and phone calls about the ticket collection in Amsterdam, I would like to clarify some of the common queries:
The main reason for the ticket uplift in Amsterdam is to ensure that Travel Club members receive their tickets directly, as we have concerns that people are selling tickets for profit which is totally against the rules of the Travel Club and discriminates against true supporters. There were also concerns over the lingering effects of the postal strike. So, although it may be an inconvenience to collect your ticket in person, it is much better than the potential of missing the match entirely for whatever reason.
There will be a team of seven SFA staff working over the two days in Amsterdam to ensure the ticketing process is as efficient as possible. There will also be a help desk for any specific problems.
All successful members have now been sent a letter of confirmation & guidance notes, while all unsuccessful members have also been advised via letter. If you have not heard anything, please call the STC on 0141-616 6000.
The number on the success letter is there to speed up the process of ticket allocation. You must also bring an STC card or passport to prove your identity.
If you want to collect tickets for other people in your group as well as yourself, this is OK. For each person, you must bring a) their success letter, a proof of their identity.
If you lose your letter, or did not receive one, we can still issue the ticket but you will have to prove your identity and it will be checked against the ticket manifest.
If you cannot arrive in Amsterdam until after the 4 pm collection deadline, please contact the STC on 0141-616 6000 to make arrangements.
We apologise to all those who spent 28p on a stamped addressed envelope for return of tickets which was not used. The stamps will be donated to charity.
It is mandatory in The Netherlands that people attending a football match must have a passport when doing so. Please bring it with you to the match.
If you have any queries, it will be quicker if you telephone rather than send an email, as you can be put through directly to someone dealing with enquiries. "
