Does no one on this list have anything to say? There must be burning issues to discuss with all the games coming up. There are still people registerted on this forum who have not posted anything.
What about the following topics.
Wee Broon's revival at Preston after making new Scottish signings. Young Scottish Talent. Scottish clubs in europe and the prospect of an extra entrant next season. Is Rainer Bonhof a better coach than Bertie? Who has not had a look in but should be in the team?

If Lenny Henry is doing the speaking clock, do you think he would be able to change the time on this board....or are people really logging in at all hours of the morning.
So what do people think of the new "badge" "Logo" that the SFA are using, I really like it, particularly the fact that it actually says SCOTLAND on it and it can be read. Iam looking forward to the new range in merchandise, I just hope that it's a bit easier to find and available via mail order.

Hi folks. Any of you manage to catch the programme with Ally McLeod the other night there? Sad to see the big man as he now is but I thought it was good to watch what might have been if only.......... I didn't really get to sample the whole build up to that World Cup (I was only three) but I tell you this, I would love for that to happen again.......even if we did cock things up once we're there. So we got beat by a couple of 'diddy' teams in '78 but nothing has changed has it, we still are doing it twenty odd years later Think of it though, getting back that sort of hysteria would be great, along with a few of the players during that time. There were mistakes made by Ally in the build up, and while in Argentina, but the players needed to take the blame just as much at that time. Then again is it just us a footballing nation? Peru then Iran, enough said. Play Holland each game and we might have came back on the march with Ally's Army So come on wee Bertie. Lets get us to the play offs at least and we can have another double header against the Welsh, to get us to Portugal next summer. Glenn.

absolutely.can we develop the ' young scottish talent thread ' further? bonhoff is undoubtedly a better coach than vogts as his results have testified.unfortunately, when the time comes for bertie to go there is a fair chance he will leave too.this would be a great shame as i would love to see bonhoff manage the big team with many of the young players he is currently rearing.it is possibly bonhoff that is keeping the likes of mcfadden & maloney out of the full team so he has time to work with them & mold them into our stars of the future.

The finances of Scottish Football have definetly helped get the young players through as most clubs (not Livingston) have been forced to blood young players.
However, there is a big difference between raw talent and potential and actually doing it regularly on the pitch. Bonhof seems to be able to channel this talent.

Neilly, The usual shennanigans will be happening in the Iron horse [discussions at the meeting NEXT Sunday]
As regards team selection, BV`s favoured big/wee combination looks Donald with neither Don/Kyle or Thommo getting a game at present.
Hope to see you all NEXT Sunday

Glenn,
I still have that 1978 half carpet which appeared on the Ally McLeod show. Agreed, a shame to see him the way he is ....mind you he was getting that way when Iran scored!!
