Even though I made a bit of an erse of handing over my backpack ( it hopefully made it to some kids as I left with hotel reception ) - I've been in contact with the Charities team at my work and described the type of work that the SA does. They seem to be interested in making a donation - although there is a stipulation that it goes to a local charity. What I need though is some details of what we have planned for the Germany game ( if anything ) and details of how the company could help. Would prob be a cash donation ... If you could get back to me or see me at the next meeting ...
Cheers
Bill

Bill, No probs all bags managed to get to the children who were delighted. It really was a great day handing over all the goodies to the kids. I would like to thank all of the WESTA members who took over the bags, your help was certainly appreciated not just by the guys behind the Sunshine Appeal but also all the kids who recieved them. You can have a wee look at this website for some phtos of the children receiving their goodies. groups.msn.com/RuaryAbroadwiththeTA/shoebox.msnwYour offer of support Bill from your company is greatly appreciated and if you want more information about the Sunshine Appeal before the next meeting you can look up www.t-army.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi Go to the announcements section on the front page and then read. This will tell you a little more about what the aims of the appeal are all about. We are trying to do something for every game although not on the scale of Lithuania where we helped 4 different homes. It is possible that in Germany and Norway we will simply be looking to make a donation to a childrens hospital or childrens home. Thanks again to all of you who took the bags across and also to Gerry Brady in particular for arranging the transport at the other end.
