We should just have a ballot all the time as these fixtures are much more favourable I reckon.

I think its a really good draw. It could've been alot worse for us but having all the games at Hampden on a Saturday is best as far as I'm concerned - better atmosphere, better build up through the week before the game and a much better day oot than a dreech Wednesday night For those going to all the away games it is abit of a killer for you on the holidays but its been like that in the past if you include friendlies (in the crazy days of Herr Berti) and folk seemed to manage. Me and the wee man have booked up for the first two away games cause we got it cheap enough but whether we go to the others remains to be seen?! Anyone else booked up yet? What way you getting there? With the games at Hampden on a Saturday I'm quite optimistic when its comes to the first few. There is a good chance we might get 9 points out the first four games. Take wins over the Faroes and Lithuania, a battling 1-0 victory against the French at Hampden and hard luck defeat over in the Ukraine. I'm not saying we should start looking at booking up for Austria or Switzerland but we'll make them take notice if we can get that kind of start Then bonnie Scotland, we'll score the winning goal for you......

An impending new arrival in the Slasher household means I will probably miss out on most of the fun this year. i.e Vilnius & Kiev. However I should be back on the road next year. Anyone on here done the Faroes trip? What's it like? I am quite keen on the Georgia trip for some reason. What's the best (cheapest) route in and is it as bad as I've heard?

Its a bit early to get costs for Georgia.
Kiev from Glasgow via Amsterdam is a good shout and Big Alan and I booked that on Friday.
Think I will give Lithuania a miss this time.

Hey Slasher,
I have done the Faroes trip - my best advice is in and out as quick as you can - there's nothing to the place - the local tourist board will not appreciate this comment and there's no doubt a few TA who will wax lyrically about "Cafe Natur" it's just a nice wee pub with too many people in it - there's some nice views on the way in from the airport if you are into rocks, sea and moorland - it's a unique destination and one that very few will visit for any other reason that football

Am jealous as... Doubt there will be any trips this year for Susan and me due to impending wedding in Apr 07! Was hoping for a stagger in Kiev in March if provisional fixtures had remained the same. I will soon be down to 1 point in the rolling points criteria at this rate. :(
