Susan's old man was down for the fisherman's exhibition at the SECC and had tickets for the Vatersay Boys gig on the Renfrew Ferry. I had heard about the boys from Barra but never seen them. I can only say that they were fantastic. For anyone who likes a good dose of Scottish folk music ceilidh style then they are well worth going to see. Thursday night's gig was pretty quiet but Friday's was a 650 sell oot! Bumped into Billy Biggar on the Thursday who was there with his wife, she'd just flown in from Rio. Surpised i didn't see you there Marky as i'm sure it would have been right up your street. Never seen so many drunken islanders in all my life all thoroughly enjoying themselves. Our resident DJ should get them booked up for a gig in the shed before one of the home games, they would go down an absolute storm.
