He was captain of his country and proud of it 54 caps & 3 goals remember that hug he gave jordan after the equaliser against Yugoslavia in '74 As a boy he was at the 4 -0 drubbing by England and vowed this would never happen when he played for Scotland Never forgot his roots in the Raploch returning often and never forgetting who he was and where he came from. Made his debut in '65 against Spain Played 8 times against England, won in '67 & '74 Agreed with Baxter that they would take the mickey out of England

Read the biography of Bremner. here's a thought , he was in the terracing at Wembley at Euro '96. him and his daughter. He was waving a flag at half - time singing and dancing to Status Quo with the rest of us! Imagine standing next to Billy Bremner at Wembley. I agree what a hero.

Billy was a terrier besser than Der Terrier, Herr Vogts. However he did miss a penalty at Hampden in 1973 allowing us to equalise. We gained a glorious 1 -1 each draw against the mighty Schottland.
