Afternoon guys - wonder if you can help?
In the past my brother (Callum) & I have met up with you guys, and had a blast. (we normally travel with the Peebles Hand of God squad - trumpeter = 'Hammy').
I was wondering....where do you recommend looking to book accommodation in Paris. I'm not after a specific hotel as such, just an area where there is likely to be a few fellow fans looking for a pint and a good night out.
I hear that the region known as 'Opera' is nice - but when i went with the then girlfriend, it was a bit pricey.
Any siggestions gratefully recieved - cheers boys

Hi Willie
WESTA will be staying in the Porte de Bagnolet area, which is in East Paris - only reason is this is where we could get the full coach party booked in.
I would recommend staying in the Pigalle / Montmatre area - it will no doubt be full of TA staying there and visiting, due to the nature of the local delights, if you get my drift, plenty of bars/clubs some dodgy, some really dodgy just perfect for the footsoldiers. Hotel accomodation in this area is plentiful and cheap (just cannot take a bus of 50) the metro links will take you anywhere in the city in no time inc Parc de Princes (about 30 mins).
The Opera district is nice - but not quite what the footsoldiers will be looking for - it is, as you said one of the more expensive areas, I stayed there with my wife a year or so back - perfect for "The Paris weekend" but not a fitba trip
Hope this helps
