I do not believe that you Schotters have had any good friendlies since you beat the mighty Deutschland 1 - 0 in Bremen in'99. We were Euro Meister at the time so this was a real good win. Remembering the game you Schotter,s had a team full of Dons players und Alex Miller the ex Dons Manager. By the way I am thinking of the Chelsea job. What do you think?

Scotland 3 - Rumania 0, March 1986. Crowd 53,589. ( Bigger than the French game. ) Goals by Strachan, Gough & Aitken. Andy Goram made his debut. Just thought I would join in!

Quick note to thank all my Scottish friends and fans for the greetings during my recent spell of illness. Have you lot forgotten about your glorious win over us when we were World Champs in 1990. Stewart mckimmie scored a rasper after 32 minutes. An old friend of mine tells me that Scotland beat Poland 2 - 1 in Warsaw in 1958 with Bobby Collins of Celtic scoring 2. He was only 5'4 you know. He would have been big in Argentina so to speak. Possibly even bigger in Japan.

I was at the game above, the one in Bremen. What a performance by Schottland. I spent the night trinken und tanzen mit der famous Taxi Fur Harper. What a mover, und some say what a shaker! See you in Wien.

Aye, another one was the 6 - 0 drubbing of Finland in 1976. It was my first game and my Father said, ' enjoy this while ye can, its no always like this!'

The crowd for the Yugoslavia game was 18,512 , by the way. A landmark victory was a 3 - 2 away victory in Malta , 1997 with Darren Jackson getting 2.

Here's a cracker from the 50s. a 4 -1 victory in Vienna against an extremely strong Austria team. last minute Reilly scored a last minute 4th! We had been beaten 7 -2 at Wemberlee, Westa member Andrew Gibson's first Wemberlee! We then went on a spree of friendlies beating Portugal 3- 0, drawing away 2 -2 to Yugoslavia and losing 3-1 to the mighty Hungary. Those were the days!
