Hi, new to this forum. Was browsing about the photos section and came across this photo www.westa.org.uk/images/Slovenia-0-Scotland-3-games.jpgAnyone know these guys? Night before Bari me and my bro stayed in a wee place called Trani (highly appropriate with my long hair and skirt  ). Planned a quiet night as we didn't have accom booked in Bari... Didn't happen. Was a really nice place but very quiet and no other Scots. Were thinkin' about headin' when these two walked in. Met some mental Italian women, drunk a ridicolous amount and I woke up in a sidestreet at 6 in the morning minus my sporran (wallet, phone and Italian phrase book  ). So quite a night. They were both called Alistair and were from Paisley and the dark haired Alistair was just back from the cricket World Cup. Great banter! Anyone know? Cheers |

Hi there the one one the left is Ally Firth a WESTA member. Come and join WESTA and you'll meet him then. Are you and your brother twins and partick thistle fans? If so you were on the train with me and a couple of others from Ancona?

Ha ha ha - how i laughed when I read this ! I have been looking out for either of you since that night in Trani, as Alistair (from Paisley) still has your phrasebook, and i felt bad that you were now going to be in italy with no help to speak to anyone - as you can recall he was attempting to use it when chatting to someone...whereas I didn't need one - and was being harassed by someone who indeed looked like a Tranny. It was a very funny and strange night though Anyway, as i say, i've looked for you at austria away, faroes away and any time i'm out in the town or west end and still haven't see either of you...but Alistair says that he has the phrasebook ready to be posted to you but we don't have your address, or we could meet you in pub at the Lithuania game....or come and join WESTA !! See you soon....!!

Was too skint for Austria and Faroes but going to Paris and probably Georgia. Probably will join WESTA actually so will see you at a meeting or maybe SA game or something. Cheers! |

Hope all went well and was a great day. Actually met Neil on Sauchiehall Street last month. He was on his way to a gig at the ABC I think. Ha ha don't worry I'm shockin' with names as well but we only had one to remember Chris is my bro and I'm Paul. Aye it was a good trip. Was in Ukraine so this was my second but gotta say I enjoyed it more. Was Chris' 1st and he had a great time. Aye hopefully bump into yous somewhere!
