We have nothing to fear as we have beaten the french before in Paris. The great Hugh Gallagher scored 2 in the tumultous win in 1930. The Scots team was full of great players. The superb and tragic John Thomson in goals and Alex Chayne of the dandy Dons. Cheyne scored the 90th minute goal and winner against Engerlund in 1929 said to have launched the Hampden roar. If I remember rightly, a goal scored direct from a corner. This is where you look for omens. The french had an Henri playing that day as well. Too good to be true its definetley a Scotland victory for me.

I met Hamish yesterday, he is in his 60s but doesn't look it. He spoke to me for hours, or so it seemed. He kept going on about a Wales game in 1948. Why? What a drag! Also his point about Henri is now defunct as he has called off. I believe he deliberatley got booked so he would not have to face us. Good news about the Ukraine. But what does the draw in Italy mean? Is this good news?
