Neil Alexander as the 3rd choice goalie is maybe the only surprise for me as he never got his chance in the future games, I would personally have gone for Kenny Arthur (surprise, surprise).

You see Thistle most weeks you must know why Kenny Arthur isnt in th esquad.

Whether we like it or not Cardiff are probably a bigger club than the bottom half clubs in the SPL and if Alexander came back north of the border he would probably get an immediate start at 9/10 clubs in the SPL including Killie before you say it.

I put the bit in about Kenny Arthur just to see who would bite first - somehow I knew it would be you!!

As a Jags fan, I can say if it weren't for Arthur this season we would probably be sitting bottom by now. It was obviously nice to see that Berti had noticed him enough to include him in the Future Squad, but he is nowhere near good enough for the full squad.

As for Neil Alexander I don't know enough about him to comment.

As I was talking about goalkeepers, that was the reason I stated that Thistle badly needed Arthur this season. Obviously goals from Burns have been a Godsend!!

I haven't and never would tout Burns for Scotland, I know he's not good enough.

There has been a late addition to the squad, as of this morning Kenny Arthur of Partick Thistle has been brought in as a replacement, for the Iceland game, as one of the goalkeepers (not sure which one) has been injured. He will fly out to Lithuania on Monday if required.

Mark, I asked Berti if he would call him up just to wind you up!!
