AGM JANUARY 25TH 2004
AGM was attended by Hamish Husband, Gerry Brady, Mark Adams, Glenn Hayes, Greg Fisher, Jim Brown, Nancy Dowie and 34 others.
Apologies from Tam Coyle, Greg Kain, Graeme McDougal, Steven Maitles, William Anderson and Moira Brown.
Meeting was opened by Hamish and agm was set out.
Chairman's Report. Hamish announced the new structure of the Club Committee and explained the workings to the membership
and the reasons for the change which is in fact a return to the structure employed in the constitution when the club was
founded.
Nancy Dowie on behalf of Moira Brown and Andrew Gibson asked for clarification of the constitutional position and the
wording of the proposed sub-committees as set out by Hamish. Andrew Gibson also asked for a re-issue of the constitution
for the membership.
Andrew Gibson also asked for confirmation of the position of Honourary President which was explained by the Committee.
Secretary's Report was carried out by Mark Adams in the absence of Tam Coyle.
Correspondence re Moldovan Charter being run by the kirkcaldy Tartan Army was read out and members were informed to notify
TC as soon as possible if interested.
Details of the WESTA bus trip to Cardiff for the Wales friendly game were confirmed and it was announced by Greg that the
bus was now full.
Meeting and significant dates were highlighted and re-iterated from membership letter posted out to members previously.
Program of functions for 2004 was announced.
Details of the St Galmier trip were given and members encouraged to get flights booked.
Tartan Army Calendar Leaflets were handed round and members were informed that they were now available at the reduced price
of £5 each.
Treasurers Report by Gerry Brady. Gerry announced the accounts for WESTA for 2003 and notified the membership that he would
be passing these accounts together with invoices to Andrew Gibson for audit and the membership were informed
of the current Bank balance.
Andrew Gibson recorded a vote of thanks to the merchandise sellers for their contribution to the finances of the Club.
Committee appointments:
Hamish formally stepped down as Chairman and Jim Brown proposed a vote of thanks.
Jim Brown then nominated Hamish for position of chairman for 2004 which was seconded by Janet and the motion was carried.
Janet then nominated Jim Brown for the position of Vice Chair which was seconded by Gerry Brady and the motion was carried.
Mark Adams nominated Gerry Brady for the position of treasurer which was seconded by Andrew Gibson and the motion was
carried.
Glenn Hayes nominated Tam Coyle for the position of secretary which was seconded by Janis and the motion was carried.
Nancy Dowie then nominated Greg Fisher for the position of travel convenor which was seconded by Jean and the motion was
carried.

Danny Goodwin announced details of another bus going to Cardiff being run by Morton supporters. Anyone interested should

Three new members of the Club stood up and introduced themselves to the membership.
Sonny Lindsay proposed that the Club abandon plastic membership cards as he feels that they serve no purpose and cost
savings can be made.
Jimmy Cormack proposed that the Club help the Sunshine Appeal for the Moldovan Trip.
Greg Fisher proposed that he would investigate the possibilities of a WESTA Moldovan Trip with the help of Passport Travel.
Hamish clarified the position of the Scotland Travel Club for the membership.
