Thanks Mark for posting that for me First of all, apologises for not posting fitba' news on the forum before now but due to working 'off line' and not being able to access the net i've not had the chance to update everyone. Poor excuse I know from the 'manager' but its the best one i could come up with Anyway, back to business!!! As some of you are aware i have arranged a bounce game tonight (as per Marks post below) up at the Firhill Complex between hauf eight and hauf nine. Those of you who had expressed an interest in playing for the team had been contacted over the past week to let them know about this. Unfortunately, everyone could not attend due to work and family committments which is understandable, but enough have said they'll be there and this will at least get us started. I am planning to do this again next week, probably on the Thursday night again, so if anyone is keen to play then please let me know via this forum, leaving contact details if you have not already passed them on to me. Either that or just turn up Our game against the Kirkcaldy TA is just over a week away so i really would like to see a good turn out next week for us to get the best selection possible for this game. All of us involved behind the scenes with the team are wanting to do as well as we can so i'm looking for the same reaction from everyone, and that includes non-players. Details of the Kirkcaldy match are to follow shortly........ That's all for now but further news will appear over the coming week. Trust me Onwards and Upwards. Glenn.

Hi folks, Following on from our 'training' last week I have decided not to book another bounce game for either Wednesday or Thursday due to a number of reasons. First of all, we had a grand total of eight turning up which was disappointing. I know speaking to those interested in playing for the team that not everyone could make it but it still didn't look the best of starts for us. Secondly, with people working and two 'live' big games on the tv during the week it would be the same numbers again, maybe even less so it's best left. From knowing the players we do have as well as playing beside them in the past, I have a good idea of who we can play where and build our team round. Those of you I contacted last week are in the squad for selection and I'll be calling round again over the next few days to get confirmation from you that you'll be coming along. If the numbers interseted are anything to go by then it looks like we have a healthy squad to pick a team from but that does mean some will be disappointed due to numbers involved. This doesn't mean that they won't be selected in the future but as I said above I can only really go on what I know at the moment. The venue has been arranged and we are playing at Glasgow Green. The park has been booked between 4pm and 6pm, with the kick-off time probably being around 4.15pm. Although I'll confirm k.o. in the next couple of days after speaking to Jim at Kirkcaldy TA. Again, keep an eye on this forum over the next few days to get updates on what is happening and for 'all the latest team news' Onwards and Upwards. Glenn.

Hello all. Just to confirm that kick off will be at the 4pm on Sunday against Kirkcaldy TA at the Glasgow Green pitches. The pitch itself is synthetic grass so its moldies or trainers and can I ask all players to be there for 3.30pm so we can go through the team and get ourselves organised. All non-players/supporters please be in your seats 10mins prior to kick off for the national athem Hope to see you all there for what I'm sure will be a good day and, all going to plan, a win for WESTA Onwards and Upwards. Glenn.

Um tellin' ye, a' don't ken how Sir Awex Fwerguson does it? This scouting job as weel as running the team AND havin' a full time job is leaving me nae time tae dae this forum admin stuff Thank God that Marky and Janis dae nothing else apert fae log on here (only joking you two before dummies are spat oot, thanks for helping me) As previously mentioned on other posts, the team and supporters bus will be leaving from The Ironhorse to Inverness on Sunday morning at 9.30am.......sharp! I've spoken to Dougal from HTA and he's confirmed kick off is at 3pm with both pre and after match refreshments at The Chieftain pub. Afterwards we'll be leaving at about 8pm to get us back down the road at a decent enough time. TEXT - bring both football boots for grass and moldies etc for astro-turf. Dougal has told me he has booked both parks as the weather might stop us getting the grass park. If that's the case then we can play on the synthetic park over the road to get the game played on the day. Hope to see a good turn out from all our members for the trip north and I'll see you at the Ironhorse on Sunday morning. Onwards and Upwards. Glenn.

Eh? Whit happened there? The bit below that says TEXT should say TO ALL PLAYERS but for some reason when I tried to use coloured letters I made an arse of it.......ah well TEXT - bring both football boots for grass and moldies etc for astro-turf. Dougal has told me he has booked both parks as the weather might stop us getting the grass park. If that's the case then we can play on the synthetic park over the road to get the game played on the day.

I thought if one of our strikers didn`t have a Peter Kay `have it` moment in front of goal we might have got back in it.......
