Is anyone interested in playing fives on a regular basis?
Davie Alexander and myself were thinking about organising a weekly game for WESTA members of all ability probably on a monday night somewhere in the Glasgow area.
If interested let me know by posting below or e-mailing me at marksadams@ntlworld.com so we can gauge numbers.
Cheers Mark

Hello all. Hope everyone had a guid time over Christmas and the New Year, mines was offa guid apart fae the fact that Santa didnae arrange it for us re-start oor World Cup campaign again 'cause we wurnae quite ready And seeing how oor country's fate looks doomed tae missing another major championship its time we turned oor hopes, dreams and bevvying to the mighty WESTA 11 Its been banded about recently that a few would like to get a regular 5-a-side game up and running between us and I'm all for it. I know we have tried and failed in the past to do this but I hope, with help from everyone at the club, we can start getting numbers together for a weekly slot and not just a 'one-off' now and then. I know with me being down in Ayrshire it doesn't always suit to get up for a game but that shouldn't stop those based more central to Glasgow in getting together. We have enough bodies to have a game of 5's and with everyone gaining a few pounds after the last month it wouldn't do one or two any harm Any thoughts about where and when to play from the members, that are keen to continue a regular game of 5-a-sides this year then give me a shout on here or my mobile. Cheers. Glenn.

The monday night slot seemed to suit everybody the last time, a venue is required though. There are plenty of 5 a side centres its about getting the right place at the right time.
Best idea might be just to book wherever you can get 6.30 or 7 on a monday and we can just get the numbers together. I know Shambles wants a game and I am keen for a start. With you and Davie Mac thats 4 already.

I'm keen to play 5's wherever and whenever... except Monday at the times you suggest. I already play on a Monday in Kirkintilloch from 5.30-7.00pm. Any other time/day of the week... bloody typical

I would be up for a game. We play at Glasgow Green on a Tuesday and have a couple of membership cards for that venue so the Green is a possible venue. It has short/long turf parks and also a 7 a side park.

I am skill up for this Marky. Monday night would suit me grand, and anywhere central-ish G/gow would be OK.
I think we need to get used to playing together as a team to improve our chances this year, rather than everyone getting introduced in the warm up like C/town last year :-)

Am a new member and would be interested in a regular 5-a-side slot if you are looking for someone "round" to go between the sticks!
Not very good, but try to use the belly to good effect! ;D

Not nail varnish but something similar that Gerry B slipped me.
I should read things back before posting them.
