Once again the WESTA 7s team proved that we are Scotland in disguise on Saturday at the annual tournament.
Despite not losing a game or indeed a single goal we finished 3rd in the group and did not make th semi-finals.
Infact, Greg (the kitten) Fisher in goals did not have a save to make in 2 games.
A combination of youth (the paisley lads) and experience (me, Davie A and Al Firth) combined with the Brazilian flair of Rio Billy from the bench could not make our our dominance count.
Despite being so well organised that we were accused of being a Craig Brown team we could not finish our opponents off and particular mention must go to big John G as he hit the woodwork no less that 7 times in 4 games.
For the record
Heb Bar 0 v 0 WESTA EASTA 0 v 0 WESTA ETA 0 v 0 WESTA LA 0 v 1 WESTA
Until next year...........................

Who won it??? How did the whole event go???
Disappointed i couldn't make it. Sounds like WESTA played well/did ok! Or were the other teams extremely poor. I certainly hope it's not the latter. Big John sounds like he needs coaching on the fact he's meant to put the ball in the space between the posts and crossbar. I could certainly show him how to place penalties (only in pre match warm ups though)!!!

Won by Perth Tartan Army. I didn't go though - T in the Park was more appealing!

Oh ye of little faith Mr Harper.
I can assure you that EASTA and ETA are still mean teams. We should have humped the Heb Bar though and LA beat EASTA believe it or not and we beat them.
