As Mark has already said we have arranged the game against Blackearnside TA for this Sunday with the same details as last time.
i.e. bus leaving from Sports Cafe at 10.30am, kick off at Freuchie for 1pm, a wee bevvy afterwards then back doon the road for 7'ish.
The bus we've booked is a 25 seater so if anyone wishes to go, either as a player that I've not contacted or as a supporter, can you get back to me asap so I can get your name down as seats are limited!!
I can be contacted on 07811 33 44 03.
5's are organised for tonight at Glesga Green pitches between 9pm-10pm. Numbers aren't as many this week with players having other things on so if you want to head down for a game everyone is more than welcome.
Cheers.

Looking forward to Sunday's game, I've got a feeling this is the year to break the jinx!!! Even though my personal confidence took a battering at the 5's last night after Marky, falling over his own feet, somehow managed to trickle the ball through my legs. If i can live down the sheer embarrassment I will be raring to go on Sunday!!! As it stands all us Paisley boys are aff the bevvy this Saturday so history could be in the making if the weather stays ok, we are probably all likely to have a mare now!!! C'mon the Westa!!!!!!!

Just on to say a big well done to all who played yesterday, it was a cracking day all round. As the lads will tell you Blackearnside put on an absolutely tremendous day ( how good were they pies and sausage rolls!!! ).
The day posed a good few questions though:
1. How many times can Darius say 'Shyza' in 90 minutes?
2. Why, after getting your head totally burst open, would your first question be - "will someone take care of my camera?" - Darius it's good to see you have your priorites straight!
3. Did Billy buy that jumper and get the bunnet free?
4. How did that referee gain his qualifications? Marky as MoM, C'mon ref open your eyes! haha
4. How dare Badger claim the first goal as a 40 yard screamer?
5. Was anyoneone else scared that the bus drivers assisstant was wrecked?
6. When putting Marky up for a song, and a fine rendition of Ring of Fire it was, should it be an even slower song so he can keep up with the words changing colour?
7. Did Andy get stage fright or does he just sing like a girl? sorry mate
8. Was this one of the best days we've had? Definately
Badgers own take of Right Said Fred's, I'm Too Sexy was sheer gold-dust as was Greg changing songs in the middle of a song coz he didn't know the words. Hint, there on the screen. Haha, i'm sure all the hangovers this morning were worth it and i cant wait for the semi's. C'mon the WESTA
P.s we actually played some pretty gid fitba

All good points apart from the PS bit. When did that happen?
Oh, and the other bit. What a fine display of refereeing, this ref clearly knows his onions when it comes to the beautiful game!

Too add to Ali's comments it was a great day out for the WESTA fitba team and it wasn't just down to the victory or some of the guid fitba that was played at times. Mark, even your sliced clearances at the start made for guid entertainment, MOTM? Anyway, and on a personal note, I'd like to thank each and every player for there efforts on the day. Everyone was up for the game, playing the game with the right attitude and socialising to the full with our hosts. On that note regarding our hosts, Blackearnside couldn't have been more welcoming or more hospitable if they tried. What they had done to ensure the day was a success is a great credit to Maurice and everyone involved at their supporters club. Also, a big thanks for those who looked after Darius after that terrible tackle on him at the end of the game. They made sure he got up to the hospital ok and back down to us in time for heading back to Glasgow. As I mentioned when thanking them before we left, they may have lost the game but won a lot of friends I have asked them to consider coming down to Glasgow for a bounce game when the opportunity arises and WESTA will be hard pushed to match their efforts off the park!! Going back to the game it had more talking points than you could fit on this message board but adding to what has already been mentioned: 1. Badger dropped his left shooder that much oot on the wing the right back help him pick it up after he'd passed him! 2. Darius played his best game in goals in a WESTA jersey. The eternal student usually gets a bit of stick for his performances but he made some unconventional stops to save the ball, they all count as long as it stays oot the net. Keep working on those goal kicks big yin. Well done Darius, hope the head feels better, gaffa's choice for MOTM 3. Greg looking at the left back and discovering he is playing against himself, only in 30 years time!! 4. Scott Fraser using the excuse that he had a groin strain so he could have a guid feel at his baws. 5. Ali "John one-two and again" McDonald. 6. Big thanks to Billy for not going to the audition for Compo from Last of the Summer Wine and joining his fellow WESTA players on the team bus. Dedication! 7. Big Garry singing WHAM at the karaoke like never before after playing oot on the park like a mad possessed growling dug. Congrats on the winning goal big man ;D 8. Looking at Big John at the end of th night thinking are we all as pissed looking as him?! I could on about the wee daft things like that and how great a day it was, maybe even too good. I'm still not feeling 100% after the bevvying that took place and if you were to ask the other players what happened to them either on their way home or the days after I'm sure they'll have a tale to tell. All I can say is a big thanks to everyone again on a day never to be forgotten and to those who missed out, make sure you're there the next time!! Glenn. ps - thank you to Mark's Pauline who supplied the half time oranges.

Do you think that the ref took off his white EASTA shirt when he got home ? ...assuming he actually left the centre circle to get home ?

I thought that it was a bit suspicious the way he got changed in their dressing room and entered their team bath after the game!
Albeit in fairness to him I would have sent Scott off as well if he had called me the same.
Ali, Glenn are one of you going to provide the match report?
