Things are hotting up in the race for the Player of the year awards 2003. The nominations were received pre Holland game and the front runners remain Gary Naismith, Christian Dailly and Steven Pressley. Other awards on the night includes Goal of the Season and a possible award for the Funniest WESTA tour story. Demand for tickets has been so great and since this has been forced on us at such a short period and since we don't want the tickets to get to the touts and since I have run out of stamps, we are giving out the tickets from a table at the horse where you can collect tickets on the day of the event up until 8.00. All you have to bring along is £2.00 for admission and £2.20 for a pint for me! Sponsored by Scottish Leader. 1 free drink each!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nominations for goal of the season please. I have invited the bus driver from the Germany trip. Herr Broon can you make it? If not have u access to vidoe conferencing? I invited Bertie but he sends his apologies. Any apology will do! Allison and Angela will be representing the SFA. Please be nice!

There are actually a few candidates for goal of the season considering we never qualified.
Naysmith in Iceland Faddy V Holland McCann in Dortmund Fletcher V Lithuania
They must be the shortlist.

It depends on whether this applies to only full internationals - I think that the best goal that I have seen so far this year was Stephen Hughes' 2nd against Lithuania U21s at McDiarmid Park, 3 mins into injury time to win the game 3-2. It was certainly the most crucial....

If it comes down to crucial it must have Fletcher hands down. We needed that goal to go through to the play offs.
