Hamish, Tam et al it was bad enough Tam nagging me to join Westa, and it was funny as a running joke, but now that Hamish has started taking me quietly and seriously aside for further nagging about people complaining about me I won't be back. I hate going to places where I don't feel welcome so I'm not going to and, as you may have noticed, I react very badly to being nagged. Tam, sell my place and ticket for the Lithuania game to the first in the vast queue of your members that you keep telling me are slavering for it and moaning about my presence and give me my money back. I'll manage on my own, I think....and cheaper. If you can't sell it, I can. Ian.

It is not a moan, Danny. I reported exactly what happened and how I felt. I'm the one who has been moaned at for years because of a stance which I have explained till I am claret and amber in the face. This is my last word ever on the subject.

Ian, everyone else pays their membership for Westa and surely you can't complain if some members take the view that if you continually come along to meetings you should join the club and pay your twelve quid. I certainly didn't mind putting a few quid to your sheet the other night, but I actually thought the poster you put up was advertising a forthcoming event, again something I didn't mind about, until I heard it was to raise money, which I felt was a bit much considering you are not a member of Westa. As you know the club is fairly loosely run, and I really don't know think many other clubs would allow a non-member such privillages. Can I come up with a suggestion - if you do not wish to become a fully fledged Westa member, maybe the committee would accept a £12 donation from yourself, exclude you as an official Westa member, but allow you to attend and participate in meetings. Simple solutuion ?!

Ian...just come along to the meetings and don't let any small mindedness put you off. We are all supposed to be Scotland fans first and foremost, and that is all that is important whether you stump up £12 or not. Surely that is what we all go to the meetings for in the first place, to talk about Scotland and to get to as many away matches aswe can. For as much as my tuppence worth matters, you're more than welcome.
